As Chief Quality and Compliance Officer, Wai Hoong has responsibility within ASL Global for planning, development, implementation and management of our overall quality, safety, vendor compliance, sustainability and accreditation infrastructure and programs.
Wai Hoong is a Singaporean with over 22 years of relevant industry experience. During that time, Wai Hoong has held management roles of increasing responsibilities and regional accountabilities within the trading and manufacturing businesses in both SME and MNC environments.
Wai Hoong specializes in developing, re-engineering and renewing organizations around QA, QC, Ethical Compliance and Corporate Social Responsibility functions with best practices that provide a Total Business Quality Management solution to the global brands. In his most recent position, Wai Hoong was Managing Director, China Operation for an US-based licensed cosmetics company. Prior to that, he was in charge of the global quality and compliance operation of an European retailer.
Wai Hoong holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and National University of Singapore (NUS) respectively.
